Requirements for the position:

· Excellent communication skills: As a customer service specialist, you must communicate clearly and effectively with customers via email, chat, phone, and other channels. You should be able to explain complex information in a simple, easy-to-understand way.

· High school diploma or equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is usually the minimum educational requirement for this role.

· One year of relevant previous experience in customer service or e-commerce.

Responsibilities:

· You'll serve our customers at every stage of the brand lifecycle, so you will have strong interpersonal skills as you communicate with all customers, internal R&D, and plant operations. You have experience in the cosmetics / personal care manufacturing industry, the ability to implement process movements, and are meticulous.

· Identify and implement manufacturing process efficiencies by applying chemical and chemical engineering principles, 5S, and Kaizen events.

· Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and output quality while reducing costs.

· Conduct bench and pilot batch activities for new and existing product restage.

· Maintain an in-depth understanding of product properties and formulas.

· Review with Chemist and write manufacturing procedures to optimize formula production while ensuring quality, aesthetics, and batch-to-batch consistency.

· Assist in transferring and scaling new formulas from R&D and Compounding.

· Participate in Pre-Pilot and Post-Pilot production meetings.

· Ensure safe and effective procedures are followed in compliance with cGMP.

· Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
 

Qualifications:
 

· Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

· 3 – 5 years of experience in Pilot Lab, Bulk Lab, or related process development in the personal care industry.

· Proven track record of successful implementation of process improvements

· Goal-oriented with strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills

· Strong analytical and project management skills

· Lean, 5S System, or Kaizen training and understanding; Six Sigma Certification

 Summary:

Troubleshoot problems using manuals, schematics, and Manufacturer’s services to keep equipment downtime to a minimum and machinery operating to specifications. Minimize production equipment downtime by performing major Preventative Maintenance related to electrical or mechanical functions, particularly emphasizing electrical troubleshooting.
 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
 

• Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) will support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal, product, company property, and environmental and team member safety. 
• Troubleshoot and repair all plant-related electrical components, including motors, servos, VFDs, and PLC’s
• Perform major Preventative Maintenance related to electrical or mechanical functions. 
• Support continuous improvement efforts by providing equipment and process expertise.
• Use electrical testing equipment safely, including multi-meters, clamp-on current meters, mergers, etc. 
• Complete repairs to all machinery, facilities, and utilities per Work Order Requests.
• Prepare and coordinate completion of Work Orders for regular maintenance and PM of machines, facilities, and utilities.
• Train other mechanics and operators to keep machinery in good working condition effectively.
• Perform all work in a manner consistent with established safety procedures.
• Complete Maintenance Work Orders, report work done, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Coordinate with the maintenance manager details of any repairs (including outside vendors), preventative maintenance, or improvements needed on equipment.
• Work by all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety, legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.
  
   

Requirements
 

• Must be able to communicate in English
• An in-depth, detailed knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical processes. Must be particularly strong in electrical troubleshooting. Knowledge of      Thermoforming and Extrusion of plastics is also preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of electrical circuits and controllers, including troubleshooting of AC-DC-PLC, motors, systems,      and controllers.
• Ability to read and work from prints,      both mechanical and electrical.
• Has the knowledge and skill to use various hand, power, and shop tools.
• Analytically oriented to troubleshoot and establish the root cause of problems.
• Willing to work overtime and be on call for off-hours emergencies.
• Qualified forklift/reach truck operator.
  
   

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent trade school diploma.
• Five years of experience in electrical machine maintenance (plastics industry preferred).
  
   

PHYSICAL DEMANDS- HOURLY POSITIONS

· Must be capable of bending and lifting tool parts and machine equipment to 50 pounds

• Able to push, pull, or carry light loads.
  
   

WORK ENVIRONMENT- HOURLY POSITIONS
 

There will be minimum exposure to elevated temperatures on the manufacturing floor. There is constant noise exposure (hearing protection is required at all times) and some exposure to dust and fumes (PPE is needed in these situations).
